Vox Marmoris is a collective of Carrara-born and raised Artists living abroad. Each year, we bring out diverse skills and experiences from the Creative Industries around the world back to our hometown in a Festival of Artistic and Musical Encounters, celebrating different mediums and how they interact with the landscape.

The festival places geography and medium front and centre, allowing the day-to-day to become exceptional, while celebrating artistic media from stone to algorithm in their own right.

Our goal is to reshape and re imagine our home through performing art events held across the different collocation of the city.

Vox Marmoris Festival brings together light, sound and space in a blend of artistic media that celebrates and showcases local sites of artistic creation and transforms an open air marble deposit at the foot of the Carrara Apuan Alps into an art playground.

Vox Marmoris philosophy is about the fusion between old and the new, physical and digital, sound and light, to celebrate the relationship between artist, medium and geography. Thus, our artists work with stone and chisel, as they do with algorithms and projectors , with turntables and sound-cards as they do with pain and brush. At the festival we invite you to interact with meetings of media, with your participation itself a part of the outcome.
