Connected in Space - Esperienza unica di Vox Marmoris che unisce arte, tecnologia e suono
Vox Marmoris, the Carrara-based artists' collective, presents a series of capsule events that will bring new life to unique places filled with history through a mix of traditional art and new technologies. The first capsule event, entitled “Connected in Space”, took place on 12 December 2022 inside an authentic marble workshop with the aim of conveying the evolution of the material itself, from extraction in the quarry to the transformation process in the workshop.
The experience was amplified by sound and the power of touch, combining traditional arts and cutting-edge technology to create a unique and immersive experience. Furthermore, during the special edition, Vox Marmoris promoted the “Limited Sky” project by the Berlin-based collective “Ephemeral Tomorrow”, a show combining visual art and sound explorations generated by monitoring satellites orbiting above the event location.
Ephemeral Tomorrow is a Berlin based media art collective composed by Riccardo Torresi (IT), Maxime Lethelier (FR) and Asako Fujimoto (JP) The group focuses on the interconnection between art science and technology, having a common fascination for the universe and space exploration, their works reflect the aspects of remote sensing apparatuses through the aesthetics of light and sound.
Resident DJs from Vox Marmoris Soundsystem and the musical selection of The Quarrier, Zee and DJ Filo accompanied participants throughout the event, creating a unique and engaging atmosphere.
"Connected in Space" is only the first in a series of capsule events that promise to transform unseen historical locations in Carrara into spaces of art and culture. We invite you to join us in this unique experience and discover the fascination of marble through a mix of art, technology and sound.
